The evening of 6th August, was filled with mathematical enthusiasts as they all gathered at LA 214, for the much-awaited event of the Axiom Club, The Ganit@ Ghar. Axiom Club has remained a stalwart in the field of mathematics for over a decade now. The club has been receiving applauds from all over the institute for their brilliance in mathematics.
The event kickstarted with a brief interactive session with the senior members of the club. The President and the Vice-President gave motivational speeches to the crowd gathered in the room. The turnaround was decent with about 50 freshmen turning up for the event. The students were then handed over a set of questions comprising of about 9 questions and a window of 1 hour to finish it. The club devised a unique mathematical way of giving scores to the students which was very complicated. The questions were set to test the mathematical and reasoning abilities of the students.
The axiom club is celebrating the 10th year of its existence through offline and online events. The online event 'Numero UNO' which will be organised by the club during the latter part of this year, has been funded by some of the founder members of the club. The founders also contributed towards the annual budget of the club and resolved to help the members of the club whenever they need them.
Finally, the evening came to a halt with the axiom club members sorting out the answer papers. The President and Vice-President informed the audience about the orientations cum inductions on 8th August. The senior members of the club bid goodbye to the audience present. The crowd deserted the room with much enthusiasm and mathematical fervour.
