Security Programming Android Web Designing Networking Club, abbreviated as SPAWN, conducted its orientation on 8th August at LA-101. The orientation was conducted along with open classes on C programming language.

The event commenced with an introductory speech by the President of the club, Manisha Behera, in which she informed the audience about the activities of the club, its aim and the events which they organize round the year. The class on C Programming was taken by one of the senior members of the club, Sonali Agrawal. The event saw a turnout of around sixty enthusiastic students from fresher and sophomore year. Following this, Sonali Agrawal, who has been recently placed in the prestigious Microsoft Corporation shared her journey to success with the students. The students seemed curious to know about her experiences and they felt quite motivated and encouraged. Continuing the legacy, Aditya Sinha, the technical head of the club, has also bagged an internship at Microsoft and is really thankful to the club seniors for their guidance.

After this, a presentation prepared by the Vice President Subhransu Dalei was presented by the Creative Head of the Club, Sriya Sainath. In the presentation, she spoke about the successful events of the club in the past few years, which included Codex, an online coding event held during the Pre-Innovision week and Desino-y-Venta, which was a three round treasure hunt, organized during last year’s Innovision.

This year, apart from the regular yearly activities and events, SPAWN also plans to conduct open classes on ‘Hacking’. The senior members of the club will be taking these classes. They have also planned to launch a dedicated and resourceful website for the club

Team MM congratulates the club for having hosted a successful orientation and wishes them with all the luck in their future endeavors.
