Beyond the Box Science Exhibition

Knowledge is not just to be gathered but to be exhibited and promoted for the edification of the citizens. Technical Society, Student Activity Centre put forward a new event for the students on 18th of March for promoting technical knowledge among the NITR populace. Genesys club under the society conducted a daylong fun filled exhilarating Science Exhibition. It was a maiden event of its kind at NITR, which attracted a great number of participants from various schools of Rourkela.
The exhibition named 'Beyond the Box' had more than 30 teams from about 18 schools displaying their budding talents at the Rajendra Mishra Exhibition Hall. The program started with an inaugural function in BBA with the esteemed guests comprising Dean Student Welfare, President (SAC), and Vice Presidents of the Technical Society attending it.
After the conclusion of the inaugural function, everyone gathered at the RM Hall to have a look at the innovative exhibits bought by the students. Prof. Animesh Biswas, Director NITR also visited various stalls, interacted with the budding brains and was greatly pleased to see such show of talent by young students. Models such as two-wheelers which does not start without wearing a helmet, automated bicycle, reusable petrol model and many more projects were on display at the event.
Ahead in the day, the judgement of projects was done by Prof. S. S. Ray and Prof. T Behera. The judges were stunned by the amazing projects bought by students and the final decision-making process to reward students was tough for them as well. The program concluded with a prize distribution ceremony where DPS Rourkela and ISPAT English Medium School bagged the Best School Prize. In the junior category, the winner was DPS Rourkela and in the senior category, the winner was Saraswati Vidya Mandir, Rourkela.
The enthralling participation amazed everyone and the amazing feedback added to the grandeur of the organizing committee. Team Monday Morning congratulates Genesys club and Technical Society for arranging this informative exhibition at NITR.
