Instilling the Spirit of Good Deeds

Life is a journey that encompasses terrains that are not always in our favour. It will put you through tough times; rigorously testing you, breaking you apart. It might be God's will to create such circumstances; but it must be your resolve to overcome them. There exist many days in the history of mankind which remind us of following God's path and encourage humanity to lead lives in high spirits. One such occasion is Good Friday!

Good Friday is observed as the day before Easter Sunday. On this day, Christians commemorate the passion, or suffering, the crucifixion of the Lord, Jesus Christ, and His death at Calvary. On this holy eve, we remember the day Jesus willingly suffered and died by crucifixion as the ultimate sacrifice of our sins. This day is followed by Easter, the glorious celebration of the day the Lord was raised from the dead, heralding his victory over sin and death and pointing ahead to a further resurrection for all who are united to him by faith.

NITR celebrated the auspicious eve of Good Friday, spreading the deeds of Christ and professing benevolent values among its people. Inaugurated by Prof. SK Sarangi at BB Auditorium, the programme invited students to share the message of joy and prosperity. The chief guest for the occasion was Mr. Sudhakar Mondithoka, professor of philosophy, from Hyderabad. Students from Burla College attended the celebrations as a part of the EU Organisation. The evening included musical performances such as 'Calvary covers it all', 'Alive', 'Amazing Grace', 'We Believe' and 'Christ is enough for me'. A mesmerising skit was also performed by the students depicting life of Jesus, from birth to His resurrection.

Team MM hopes that everybody had a wonderful learning experience and shall strive to follow the ideologies of the Lord.
