My personal style is a mixture of, like, girly, throwback, like retro 50’s pinups, floral, like hippies, like everything feminine, and like flirty!
Yes, every girl in CVR and KMS Halls of Residence felt like Ariana Grande. Floral hairclips, satin ribbons, bell pants to polka dots and colorful skirts: yes, the girls travelled 40 years back in time to borrow the ideas of the divas. Be it Audrey Hepburn or Jacqueline Kennedy, Madhubala or Parveen Babi, there was little of everything. The girls never once failed to surpass the style!
As, the evening progressed to the beats of “Dum Maaro Dum” and “Dafli Waale”, the crowd reveled in the lights akin to “I am a Disco Dancer”. After a tiring day, toiling hard to make TechDay, 2014 a grand success, the girls loosened up for a colorful and relaxing evening ahead (Though, they danced all way through it!). After, everyone was fed and watered, the merriment began!
A stage was setup, the disc jockeys played their hearts out, starting from the husky voice of Asha to the soprano of Shreya. The freshmen were equally enthusiastic to chip in. The girls danced and danced, for the entire evening in the retro-est abandon, absolutely no holds barred!
It was an evening well spent. Though a bit marred by frequent power outages and little mishaps of spilled food on clothes, the evening had its share of fun. Everyone felt like princesses of the yore: pampered and loved. In all, the newbies enjoyed a beautiful evening; finally welcomed into the halls of residences they can proudly call their own!BLOG COMMENTS POWERED BY DISQUS
