Boasting Triumph @BIT Mesra

Two final year students from mechanical engineering department, Suvendhu Kumar Patra and Soumya Ranjan Mohanty have successfully won one of the city finals of the 4th season of Mahindra Auto Quiz which was organised at BIT Mesra. This achievement speaks volumes of the kind of talent we have at NIT Rourkela. This glorious victory has made the team eligible to compete in the eastern zone finale with 5 other teams.
Mahindra AQ is a platform for auto enthusiasts to measure and prove their auto passion. It invites engineering and management students from all across the country to test their auto knowledge to compete with each other in a high stakes challenge.
The city final was organised at BIT Mesra on 7th September. There were a total of 6 teams who had to compete with each other for the title. Out of those 6 teams, 2 teams were from our institute.
The journey is not over yet. The winning team will soon be competing in the East Zone final with 5 other teams (3 engineering and 2 B school teams) of the eastern zone for which Team MM wishes them good luck. The east zone finale will be held in the NDTV Studio, New Delhi.
During his conversation with Monday Morning, Suvendhu Kumar Patra illustrated how important it is to be active in such kind of competitions. Apart from adding to your resume, the laurels that it brings to the institute are very satisfying.
