After settling down the scores with destiny, LEO Club of NITR finally burst into action when it held its much awaited orientation on 9 August (Thursday). Leo’s orientation always being a plethora of fun and excitement undoubtedly extended its aura for this academic session as well.

Despite intervened by rain, the event saw a huge gathering. The event kicks start at 6:00 pm. Firstly the students were given a glimpse of the club’s ethics and projects followed by a presentation by the second years. Especially, a video of the club’s social service and appeal for kindness was much appreciated and mesmerised the gathering.
Quiz, games and fillers kept everyone busy throughout the evening. To soothe every masculine heart with pride, this time the epic Battle of Sexes was won by the boys. And the Leo’s trademark “The Chosen One” for this year was given to Wasim Sajid. With fun videos, music and Leo’s hard work and effort, the evening was a memorable one for the juniors.
The Induction process was carried out on Saturday morning. Though again hindered by rain, the healthy gathering for the induction process stands as a testimony to the successful orientation. The induction process consisted of group discussion followed by personal interview. A total of 17 new members have been inducted to the club.
William Shakespeare’s “All’s well that ends well” aptly describes the journey of the Leo Club of this year. After lots of hurdles, the Leos are all set to roar now with new members and get themselves busy in what they do best i.e “Social Service” with little spices of fun in it.
