Entrepreneurship Cell on the eve of Tech Day 2012 organized “Techno Bizz” comprising of 2 events- City Ville and Bizz Plan.
City Ville was an event where teams had to build a city with virtual money and experience the need of investment in future. Members were initially given 5 lac of virtual money, which they had to use to bid for plots or invest it in the stock market.
There were 5 stages of development. Team has to utilise the skills to predict the market and subsequently invest in the right place. Among the 16 teams that participated in the event, team 14, comprising of 3 members, Anubhav, Nitesh and Sidhanth emerged as winners.
The second event was Bizz plan. A total of 15 teams participated in the Bizz Plan competition. In this competition, teams got a stage to present their Business Plans among elite professionals and received valuable suggestions.
The judging panel for this competition comprised of
- Mr. F.C Mohanty, Owner of Poly Refractories Pvt. Ltd in Rourkela
- Satyajit Nayak, Director- Dr. Ambedkar Memorial Institute of Information Technology & Management Science (DAMITS) and
- Dr. Rajeev Kumar Panda, School of Management, NIT Rourkela
Great spirit was shown from 1st year participants. The result for the Bizz Plan is likely to be announced by Wednesday.
