Power failure disrupts Football match

The institute vs freshers’ football match was organised in DTS on Tuesday, 14th August. But a power failure halted the spirits of the enthusiastic crowd present there for at least half an hour. When all was set and done and the match was about to begin, the sudden darkening of the stadium due to the non-functioning of floodlights brought everything to standstill.

Leaving behind all ifs and buts light was restored within a short while due to the efforts of the organisers and the match was in full flow. Wherever football is played its diehard fan base shows their presence. Around 100 of them, which could have been much more if things had started well initially, cheered loudly for their respective teams. The power failure took its toll as playing time was reduced to just 25 min. The first half went head to head with no goal scored.

The golden moment was witnessed in the second half with the lone goal of the match scored by Ranjit Yadav, final year. The lead was neither neutralised nor extended as the game went off on a sad note. The final score read 1-0 as the second half continued for just 5 min more. In the end, senior pros led the way to get on to a perfect start for the new season.
