Seminar on Seismic analysis
A registration seminar on “seismic analysis of open storey framed building” was organized in the seminar room of civil department on 5th October, 2012. Mr Haran Pragalath, a Ph.D student of civil engineering was the speaker of the seminar. Seminar sharpened the idea of open ground storey (OGS) framed building and its consequences related to earthquakes.

Civil department welcomes freshers
Nothing brings people closer than fun, games, good food and great conversations, which is why the fresher’s welcome during the graduate years goes all out to be one of the most memorable days in a student’s life. And it is proved this time too, when the civil engineering department organized its “fresher’s welcome cum teacher’s day” at BBA.

CEST- Getting Started
“To the optimist, the glass is half full. To the pessimist, the glass is half empty. To the civil engineer, the glass is twice as big as it needs to be.”
Civil engineering is considered as the oldest engineering discipline after military engineering. It is nicely said “Wonders are either created by god or by CIVIL ENGINEERS”. A new club CEST is recently established in our institute to follow this glorious tradition of civil engineering.
