EESS- Electronics Engineers Students’ Society

Focused on innovation and student’s development in the field of electronics, the electronics department decided to conjure up the ideas of the electronic engineers by the formation of the EESS - Electronics Engineers Students’ Society. The Club was started by the ECE department in the month of November, with a goal to boost students’ technical knowledge.

Microstrip Line fed RDRA with Improved Bandwidth

                                                                               

A conference seminar on a Hybrid Antenna with improved bandwidth was held on 19th December 2012 in the ECE department. Ravi Kumar Gupta, a PhD Scholar presented the paper and gave the seminar talk. The venue for the seminar was the seminar hall of the ECE Department where most of the professors and many senior students of the department attended the talk.

The hybrid structure can be considered as a combination of basic rectangular dielectric resonator antenna and another radiating structure. The proposed antenna uses a DRA element of permittivity 10.2. The DRA is presented for wireless applications at 7GHz.
