ENTHRALLING INSTITUTE SEMINAR
The institute geared itself up for an all-important seminar on 1st March 2013. This time it was Prof. B. C. Raymahashay, Ex-professor, IIT Kanpur who took the centre-stage in the seminar hall of metallurgy and materials department and enlightened an assembly of around 100 students and several faculties with discussions that reached out to each one`s mind in both academic and social manner. The discussion started in a steadfast manner and professor Raymahashay maintained the tempo with a very skilful presentation on “Weatherability of Stone Monuments” that was appreciated and acclaimed by everyone in attendance.

Prof. Archana Mallik Awarded
It’s always a matter of pride for the institute when a student or a faculty echoes its name at the national level. This was the case when Prof. Archana Mallik of Metallurgical and Materials engineering received the Odisha Young Scientist Award 2011. She was nominated in the Engineering Science category. This award was presented by the Odisha Bigyan Academy and was felicitated by our very own Chief Minister of Odisha Naveen Pattnaik. On this occasion, she delivered a talk on “Unravelling the fundamentals of sono-electroplating: An Introduction to secondary nucleation”.

In focus: Professor S.C.Mishra
On a rainy Friday evening, when the mightiest of living beings prefer going back to their shelter while some people enjoy the rain, Prof. SC Mishra gave his precious time to Team MM. A scrupulous room adorned with trophies, he greeted and interacted with us.
