Voices that enriched NU'15

It was a platform for the worthy. A place, where you could let your voice soar high, uninhibited and unhindered.

Every year, people from near and far throng this event, as a Launchpad or to prove their merit among the best. Yes, this is Voice of NU.
Voice of NU is one of the flagship events of NITRUTSAV every year. Needless to say, it encourages many budding singing talents to get a chance to showcase their vocal talents. This year, this event saw a participation of several talented singers from in and around the city.
The registration for the event started at 1 pm in the afternoon. And the event started at 2pm, in the smoothest fashion, owing to the competency of the organizers. With almost no glitch, the event was conducted in the Bhubaneswar Behera Auditorium.
The event consisted of two rounds. In the first round, the contestants had to sing any song of their choice. Around 8 participants were selected for the next round. In the second round, the contestants had to sing a song of their or judges’ choice. In this round, they were allowed to use their own instruments.
The judges for the event were Siuli Chakravarty and Alakananda Behera. The winner of the event was Roddur Dutta, of Amul Voice of India fame and the runners-up prize went to Mandira Karmakar of HeartBeats and Sambit of Euphony (joint runners up).
