The Third Eye club of NITR has always stood out with its highly appreciable work in the arena of photography. Members of the club are unsung heroes who capture the fascinating moments in the institute from behind the lens. Propagating the essence of photography, they have also organised numerous events engaging enthusiasts to pursue their interest in this creative field. Vivid is one such exhibition-cum-workshop spanning for three days displaying some of the finest works by students and professors alike and detailing the participants with the intricacies and technicalities of photography through its workshops. After its stint with success previous year, the second edition of Vivid was recently organised.
The three-day affair commenced on 03 April inaugurated by Prof. SK Sarangi and Prof. KC Pati at the Rajendra Mishra Exhibition Hall. The exhibits displayed were photographs captured by the Third Eye members, students of NITR, NIT Jalandar, BITS Pilani and other institutes. Prof. Paresh Kale and Prof. Supratim Giri of NITR also showcased their photography expertise with their mesmerising snapshots. A total of 109 exhibits in various categories were put on display, which were selected from the multitudinous entries sent.
On the second day of Vivid, a workshop was conducted apart from the exhibition running simultaneously. Prof. Paresh Kale of NITR promulgated his proficiency on 'Macro Photography', a prospect that deals with extreme close-up photography, usually of very small subjects.
The third and final day of this exhilarating initiative witnessed another workshop. Dr. Min Chai Liu, dentist, ex-jury for Better Photography magazine and a freelance photographer provided the participants with a lurid class on the aspects of 'Composition and Perspective'.
Team MM congratulates the club on the conduction of this highly appreciated initiative.
