Refluxing the Charge: IIChE and IChemE Student Chapters

After a long period of dormancy, the fields of the Department of Chemical Engineering are once again ready to sow in new seeds with the revival of IIChE student chapter in the institute.

A product of unity and constant efforts by the second year students under the much-needed guidance of Prof. Pradip Chowdhury, IIChE student chapter is almost ready to see the sunshine.

IIChE, abbreviated for, Indian Institute Of Chemical Engineers is a confluence of streams of professionals from academia, research institute and industry. It provides them the appropriate forum for joint endeavors, hand-in-hand, to work for human being through application of chemical engineering and allied sciences. 

Rephrased, IIChE opens door for thinking beyond academics. The focus is primarily on project work, evolving new ideas and above all connecting people pursuing chemical engineering from all over the world, thanks to IIChE collaboration with U.K. based IChemE.

With students now actively seeking to participate in Department related activities, the Department of Chemical Engineering hopes to see more fireworks in future of which fests, workshops form an integral part.
