A budding crop of engineers from the department of Food Process Engineering gathered on 5th September to observe teacher’s day and celebrate the addition of novel members.
Undergrads, post grads, doctoral candidates and professors congregated for the function. The ceremony started with a speech from the head of the department who inspired the engineers out there; this was an apposite start to the evening. The tradition of lighting the lamp was followed by cutting of a cake to commemorate teacher’s day. Students showed their gratitude to their teachers by gifting them mementoes of appreciation.
The freshmen left no stone unturned in regaling the crowd with dance and music. Two melodious voices from the new entrants soothed the psyche of the audience and dance numbers were enjoyed by all.
A power point presentation on the discipline of food processing engineering was prepared by a sophomore and presented to the gathering with the aim of enlightening the freshmen about their field of study and opportunities available to them. This was a very thoughtful step by the seniors and the juniors benefited from the information provided to them.
The ceremony concluded with the declaration of Mr. and Miss. Fresher and sashes and gifts were awarded to the chosen ones. All in all it was a pleasant evening which was enjoyed by each and everyone present.BLOG COMMENTS POWERED BY DISQUS
