Freshers' Welcome cum Teachers' Day Celebration

Admission procedures completed, wardrobe overhaul and makeover done; now it’s finally time for the fresher’s welcome. The fresher’s welcome cum teacher’s day celebration of the department of food process engineering was one colourful affair. The evening of 5th September witnessed a resplendent celebration by a resilient group of students and faculty members who had gathered to make the day a remarkable one. Various eminent professors including Prof. Sabyasachi Mishra, Prof. PP Sutar, Prof. RC Pradhan, Prof. Pritam Sarkar and the HOD of the Prof. R.K Singh had graced the occasion with their presence.
The event kicked-off at 6:30 pm in LA-117 with the introduction of the faculty and a brief introduction about the branch by Debasish. On the eve of teacher’s day, the students took the opportunity to thank the teachers for their constant guidance and encouragement followed by the cake cutting ceremony. The event was carried forward with some spectacular showcase of talent by the junior singers and dancers. This was followed by a formal introduction of the freshmen. Then the freshers were imparted with a questionnaire form and from their response to the questions of varying complexity and their performance on various tasks assigned to them Mr and Miss Fresher were filtered out. The celebration ended with the vote of thanks by the hosts and professors.
With all the fun and frolic, it was sure an evening enjoyed by all and sundry. Team MM congratulates the organizers and wishes the talented young minds a blissfully blooming four year journey!
