According to Swami Sivananda Saraswati, “Education is the training in the art of living.” Art of living one’s life includes art of building one’s life also. Hence, “Life building and Successful living” lessons should be imparted to students in schools, colleges and universities through real or value based education. This was the very purpose of the 1 day Student Awareness Programme, as stated by Prof. T.K.Dan, HOD (Electrical).  This program on “Value Education on Life Building and Successful Living” was organized by VEC and NSS at BBA, NIT Rourkela on 3rd April 2016 from 10 am to 1 pm.

After the auspicious lamp lighting ceremony, the guests and the assembled audience engrossed themselves in the worship of the Almighty. This was followed by a talk on Life Building and Successful Living by Sri M.L.Agarwal.  Sri Rajat Kumar Pradhan, Senior Lecturer, Department of Physics, Bhadrak Autonomous College, delivered a speech highlighting the necessity of Value Education. After which, Sri Diptimaya Das, Lecturer, Department of Physics, Rajendra Autonomous College, Bolangir established a correlation between Modern teaching and students with Sivananda Literature.
