For every student the advent of college life always begins with apprehension and angst. Adapting in to the new milieu isn’t always a smooth experience.
With an aim to help the freshmen gain a foothold in the institute and to have a healthy interaction with them the sophomores organize the Freshers Programme every year. The department of Planning and Architecture too organized its Freshers this year on the 19th of August, 2016 to welcome the neophytes of their department. The event which was organized in LA-214 was graced by the presence of notable faculties from the department. The song was followed by a skit by the first years. A duet dance was performed by Madhushree Maji and Adyasha Priyadarshini followed by a duet song by Jyothika Bhukya and Pavan Kalyan. They had to address the audience after they received their prize as well. Jezniah Anwesh Kerketta was adjudged as Mr. Fresher while Madhushree Maji as Miss. Fresher.
Two fun games were organized for the professors and the 3rd and 4th year students. A cake was also cut to welcome the 4th batch into the institute. The complete responsibility for the smooth organization of the event was shouldered by the sophomores of the department.
