The Department of Chemical Engineering is one of the oldest departments of NITRKL, established in the year of 1961. Since then, it has witnessed a lot of changes in academics through the years and has dynamically progressed in lieu of the current demands.

The department offers B.Tech., B.Tech & M.Tech (dual degree), M.Tech, and PhD programmes. The current faculty strength of the department is 15. The current intake of students for the academic year 2018-19 is:

  B.Tech.– 50

  B.Tech & M.Tech(Dual-Degree) – 10

The department was set up to advance and spread knowledge in the areas of Chemical Engineering through multidisciplinary teaching and research work; thereby producing quality engineers in the field.
