Q: Are you satisfied with the company you are placed in or did you expect a better company?

A: Yes, it is a very good and growing company in the field of Networking. The role I’m offered (Management Trainee), is what I would best fit in.

Q: Were there any challenges that you faced in the beginning of the placement season?

A: Being a student of one of the circuital branches, you need to you need to be good in coding skills. As there are ample opportunities in Software Industries, you have more probability to get placed in Software companies than in any core industries. As I wasn’t comfortable with coding, I had to look for alternatives.

Q: Were you rejected by any other company? If yes, what could be the possible reasons?

A: Yes I got eliminated in the last round of the process of PwC. The possible reason might be lack of preparation.

Q: How many levels were there in the selection procedure of this company?

A: There are 4 levels of process done by this company (Written Round, Group Discussion, 2 rounds of Personal Interview). Being the winner of ACTapult Event 2015 by ACT, I had a PPI offer due to which I was able to directly appear for the last 2 rounds of Interivews.

Q: What preparations did you undergo to get through the written rounds?

A: You need to prepare Aptitude for almost every written round by the companies. Apart from Aptitude you need to prepare OS, Data Communication & Networking, Data Structures (along with OOP concepts).

Q: What preparations did you undergo to get through the GD rounds?

A: Haven’t appeared yet for GDs. But you can always refer to Management Interviews to get a clear idea about how GDs are done. You should also be updated with the current happenings as the topics might be anything related to a political or social issue or an abstract topic.

Q: What preparations did you undergo to get through the Interview rounds?

A: I had studied Computer Networks along with Basic knowledge on Departmental Subjects like Basic Electronics & Basic Electrical. You should also be thorough with whatever projects you have mentioned in your resume because very often the interviewer asks concepts related to your projects.

Q: Any tips or suggestions for the juniors?

A: Being a Placement Coordinator, we would like to suggest many things to our juniors among which I would mention a few here-

  1. You need to make a very good and compact resume. Do not write essays neither try to be too much artistic with your resume. It should be simple and to the point. One page CV are the best.
  2. Use your Summer Vacation wisely for preparation. Aptitude is a must for all and Coding is a must for all students from Circuital Branches.
  3. Try your best to get placed and help others in getting placed by helping them with various platforms/materials for preparing.

Q: Can you briefly explain your overall experience of the placement season?

A: Appeared for 4 companies in total. Eliminated in the last round of PwC and selected by Capgemini and ACT TV. You need to be very clear about what you need right from the start of the season so that you do not regret later. 10th August & 19th November shall always remain with me as the best memories of my graduation.
