Schneider Electric is a French multinational corporation which combines world-leading energy technologies, real-time automation, software, and services to provide energy and automation digital solutions for efficiency and sustainability. The firm hires interns through the targeted campus hiring process at selective campuses only.
3rd-year Undergraduate students of Computer Science and Engineering, Electronics and Communication Engineering, Electronics and Instrumentation Engineering, Electrical Engineering and Mechanical Engineering with no backlogs throughout.
It is a paid internship with a monthly stipend amount of INR 25000. The accommodation has to be looked at by the students themselves.
The applicants have to first apply through the Online Portal. Shortlisting of the Curriculum Vitaes is followed by 4 subsequent rounds with the uncertainty of elimination in each round. First-round is a computer-based test that includes questions from Quantitive Aptitude, verbal ability, comprehension, data interpretation, logical reasoning sections. This is followed by a Psychometric test and the Technical Interview Round where basic branch-related subjects questions and about the previous internships are asked upon. The final round is the HR Interview Round.

Team Monday Morning brings you an excerpt on the experiences of the interns associated with their internship at Schneider Electric.
“I interned at Schneider Electric R&D, Bangalore for 9 weeks. The technical round was a vital round of the selection procedure and also a hard nut to crack. Working at a French MNC has some additional perks of getting involved in the company’s significant projects and making meaningful contributions while acquiring new skills. I worked on their low voltage 2-meter long switchboard Prisma iPM, where I designed the links for NSx and CVS MCCBs on Creo which is high-ended design software. I also performed tolerance analysis using a tool called tolerance manager and made the necessary modifications to the designed links based on the analysis. The interactive session with the leaders of the company was something that gave me a unique experience. Adding on to this, SE used to organize “Tech- Tuesdays” where an expert would take up a topic (could be a product that the company is working on or upcoming technology) and have a brief discussion on the same. Last but not least, Bangalore was a cool, wonderful and welcoming place.
Overall, interning at SE was a delightful experience. This is a great place to learn and grow.”
**“**My areas of interest are not the core electric subjects, it revolves around research and embedded programming. My profile was well built for Schneider Electric because they mostly deal with energy distribution and energy management and I had gained the experience of the working of the substation from my previous internship at Power Transmission Corporation of Uttarakhand Limited (PTCUL). At Schneider Electric, my job was to analyze the existing innovative ethernet solution v/s legacy Schneider Electric solution. I implemented cybersecurity at a proprietary protocol on CAN communication. I established secure communication over a client-server connection at the node level and was instrumental in helping the team with their exploration project to study new ethernet technology. The working environment was amazing, there is no other place better suited for a core person. For us the schedule was never hectic, it was based on how much you put in and how much you do it. The curriculum taught to us in college was in no way implemented there, it’s a different thing.”
**“**My areas of interest are Deep Learning and the Internet of Things. My work at Scheider Electric was based on a product recommender system. It would suggest certain products that are similar to a given Schneider product based on similarity in specification and product features. My work revolved around efficient keyword extraction algorithms using NLP methods and suggesting products thereon. I had also worked briefly on angular JS for front end application of optimization software for the products that Schneider manufactures. The work culture at Schneider is pretty good. My mentor was knowledgeable, experienced and extremely helpful. The team provided me with the necessary data and other things required for the completion of the project.
Overall, my experience at Schneider was very nice. Apart from gaining technical knowledge, the industrial exposure that we received was thoroughly enriching.”
